Around the Office - November 2013

Well it finally looks (or feels) like fall has arrived. With the onset of daylight savings last week, we here at Rocco and Associates arrive at the office in the dark and get back in the car at the end of the day in the same condition. What helps keep us going? Simply put, our never ending commitment to our clients and our goal to provide you with the best service possible when it comes to your financial needs. Charlie and Eric continue to make great strides as they put into place more initiatives to improve our client communications as well as your overall experience with Rocco and Associates outside of the physical office. This includes maintaining our very active Twitter and Facebook accounts as well as the look and feel of our website. They have learned more about Twitter and Facebook over the past 12 months than they almost care to admit to. However, watching what they have completed affirms our belief that these social media tools are critical to our business now and into the future. To this point, we encourage you all to take a look at our pages and the valuable information that is posted multiple times a day. Even we need a break from finance sometimes, so the diversity of information that we are disseminating through social media includes a lot of non financial information as well, including current events, fun things to do with the family and other life lessons. 

Looking ahead, we continue to build relationships with our local universities to recruit additional top talent to bring into our business development internship positions. In fact, many in the office thought Eric was losing his mind the other day when I walked by his door and found him in full dialogue with his computer. Little did we know that he and Charlie were conducting an interview via video conference with a potential internship candidate now currently studying abroad in Australia. 

On November 12th we hosted our fourth Round Table event with John Hancock that was once again well attended. For those of you unfamiliar with these events, we invite one of our investment company partners in to go over product updates with a group of clients that are directly invested with that firm in either a mutual fund or variable product. Look for a communication for the next event that will be held during the first quarter of 2014. 

For those of you that have been clients for a number of years, our office at 1261 Post Road here in Fairfield has been a welcoming destination for account reviews, events or just to stop by and say hello. It has been Joe’s morning destination on a daily basis for over 25 years.  However, as we continue to grow Rocco & Associates Wealth Management we have decided to move our office to the second floor of the 1248 Post Road building, also in Fairfield. This location is directly across the street from our current location at 1261 Post Road. This move will be effective starting on November 18th, 2013. Our office will be closed the Friday before, November 15th, and will reopen on the 18th at 12pm. Please make note of the new address along with our contact information. Although our address has changed, our commitment to our customers and business partners remains steadfast. Email addresses as well as phone and fax numbers will remain the same for your convenience. I encourage you all to stop by and say hello once we get settled in.

As we prepare here for the inevitable (i.e. winter), I am very excited to look back over what we have accomplished over the past twelve months and hopefully you too are seeing the benefits of some of the changes. Enjoy the articles!
