Under the direction of both Charlie and Eric, our robust internship program continues to grow and helps us attract and retain top talent from many colleges and universities across New England. In fact, just this month, we started posting future opportunities with Boston University, Boston College, Connecticut College, Fordham, New York University, Northeastern, Wesleyan, Tufts and Trinity. These institutions join Sacred Heart, Fairfield, Quinnipiac, SCSU, Western Connecticut and Yale who were already in our recruiting pool. We are excited to once again introduce you to our latest intern, William McGuire. William is a junior Economics & Finance double major at Quinnipiac University with a passion for wealth management. He has previously interned for other wealth management firms, and brings a fresh new perspective to the office. Rocco & Associates places great value on our relationships with the local Connecticut community, and we are pleased with the opportunity to strengthen our bond with Quinnipiac University. William has a great interest in investing and following the stock market. He balances school and work with reading, creative writing, and working on his project car; a Mazda Miata that is older than he is! Please join us in welcoming Will.
We continue to improve office procedures and leverage technology to make our client interactions even better. Recently Charlie & Eric have undertaken a complete redesign of our website and online client access options. Although the new site won’t go live for several months, they have already been interfacing with the designer on the content and overall design. Once we launch this new and improved site you will be amazed at the additional client friendly tools, videos and social media interfaces that will improve our online presence and communications with you; a smart phone application is even in the works! They have also been working hard on increasing our search optimization so more clients can be introduced to our firm and hopefully begin working with our team to achieve their financial goals. I will let you all know when the new site will go live and as always will look to you all for your valuable feedback.
Although our entire team is involved with their own individual charities outside of work, as an office we felt that we needed to get on board with a local charity close to all of our hearts. Despite the often perceived level of affluence within Fairfield County, there is still a high demand for food assistance programs and so we have decided to partner with the CT Food Bank. We will work towards raising awareness and funds to support this charity organization with an office and warehouse location in Fairfield on Linwood Avenue. The CT Food Bank serves more than 300,000 hungry men, women, and children throughout the state and approximately 1/3 of those are in Fairfield County. They provide nutritious food to more than 650 soup kitchens, pantries, and shelters in Connecticut (more than 150 of these are in Fairfield County - from Bridgeport to Danbury to Greenwich) and we are all thrilled to get more involved with this organization.
The articles that are included in this communication are carefully selected by the team here at Rocco & Associates and we strive to make them as relevant as possible in light of our clients’ needs and what is happening in the world around us. However, they are not and should not be seen as confidential publications. We encourage you all to forward them to a friend, neighbor or anyone else that you feel may benefit. Should they want to be included on our communication lists in the future, even if they are not clients, feel free to forward their email addresses and/or call the office to add them. There is also a link after all the articles. Some of this information is just too valuable to keep to yourself!
